Who
will be the next to wear your gown? Your daughter, granddaughter,
your cousin, your daughter-in-law or even your grand daughter-in-law?
Many dry cleaners and retailers offer ways to "preserve"
gowns but not all are archivally appropriate. Clean and
reserve your special gown for her the RIGHT WAY with a
TRUE PRESERVATION!
True
preservation of your gown with Deluxe includes:
Professional
cleaning when needed to remove visible stains and also
invisible potential stains.
Thorough
cleaning of your gown with a unique anti-sugar stain treatment
featured in MODERN BRIDE.
Lasting
protection, your gown is placed in an acid-free box with
acid-free tissue and an acetate window for viewing your
treasured memories.
Our
Premium gown preservation service:
Your
dress is professionally and properly cleaned.
Then sheets
of acid-free tissue are placed between all the layers of your
dress. The dress is wrapped in a triple-washed unbleached cotton
muslin box liner and placed in a two-piece archival textile
preservation box. A cotton muslin cover fits over the box and
can be custom monogrammed.
Cotton
gloves to wear while handling your gown are included along with
instructions for storage and repacking your gown should you
want to remove it from the box.
Museum
quality archival boxes designed to protect your gown for long-term
storage made from materials engineered to best deal with the
special needs of textiles, and covered with a stylish monogrammed
cotton cover whose elegance is matched only by its efficient
reduction of light exposure, dust, and static electricity (all
harmful for your gown).
Gowns
should be treated with true preservation as soon as possible
before stains have time to set and sugar begins to caramelize.
DO NOT keep gowns in plastic bags because plastic emits fumes
that may yellow your gown. Never store gowns in the attic,
garage, basement, or storage shed where there are extreme
changes in the temperature and humidity.
***IMPORTANT:
DO NOT clean your gown BEFORE you bring it in to
be preserved! Cleaning is done before the preservation with
both of these services.
